The meaning behind the name.
There’s this story that I connect with. That has inspired me. It’s a good story, of people seeking a better and fuller life. An old story.
Throughout the story “heading East” was always associated with exile, oppression, and shame.
And there’s this idea that there’s always a way back. There’s always a West to go back to.
And “heading West” should lead to exodus, freedom, and peace.I’ve found great freedom and peace with the work that I do: in working with my hands, in collaborating with other brands, in designing things that I get to share with others, in sharing things that you can use daily, in learning and obsessing over a craft, in creating things I’m proud of, in your interest.
